A day at the zoo!

Last Sunday afternoon Micah and I decided that we needed to go on a little adventure. We decided on the zoo and it did not disappoint. Here is a look at our little adventure!

I like him. The baby wallaby and the husband.

My favorite animal at this zoo. Usually the elephants are my favorite but this zoo was without.

We made a pit stop at Trader Joe's since we do not have one close by. We purchased the mystery item and got a free tote! Perfect end to a perfect day.

I had a hankering for lemonade. I'm not a fan of a lot of sugar so I decided to try making it with honey. It turned out quite nicely. I think next time I'll use a little bit more honey and make a bigger batch. Perfect treat for a hot summer day!

For this recipe, I used:

4 cups water

3 lemons

1 orange

1/4 cup honey

Directions:

Warm water on stove top. Add honey and stir until dissolved. Next, juice your lemons and orange. Add the juice to the water and honey mixture, stir until mixed. Pour over ice or let it sit in the fridge until cold.

Happy Easter

I think my fiance was more excited that the Easter bunny had visited us than my nieces were. I love that about him. It was fun afternoon with these wonderful girls. They are the best!

March 9th 2013

Micah took me to our favorite restaurant here in town, Tuscan Moon. I knew a proposal was coming at some point but I was completely surprised as we walked upstairs and I saw roses, candles, pictures of us and heard our song playing. It was perfect!

I made a few important phone calls to family and close friends. I couldn't stop giggling!

My ring is perfect! I love it.

I am so excited to marry this man. He is my best friend and I couldn't imagine my life without him.

Tuscan Moon...

how we love you.

So handsome.

The man and I had a much needed date last night. We are regulars at Tuscan Moon. Such a great atmosphere and so conveniently located in our tiny little town. Oh! and their Italian Lemon Cream Cake is amazing. I have eaten far too many pieces of this delicious cake.
